What is GPR scanning and why is it needed?
Ground Penetrating Radar scans concrete to locate rebar, post-tension cables, and embedded conduits before cutting. Cutting a post-tension cable can cause sudden structural failure — GPR is mandatory for any cut on a post-tension slab and strongly recommended elsewhere.
Can you cut concrete in an occupied office building?
Yes. We use wire-sawing, wall-sawing, and core-drilling — quieter, lower-vibration alternatives to breakers — combined with dust-extraction so adjacent floors keep operating. We also work nights and weekends where the landlord permits.
Do you remove foundations and raft slabs?
Yes. After the superstructure is down, we break and remove strip footings, pad footings, and raft slabs using high-reach excavators with hydraulic breakers and shears, then truck the broken concrete to recyclers.
How much vibration does concrete demolition cause?
Wire-sawing produces almost no vibration. Wall-sawing and core-drilling are very low. Hydraulic breaking is the highest. We pick the right method to keep vibration within consultant-specified limits and can install vibration monitors on adjacent structures.
Is the concrete recycled?
Wherever possible, yes. We send broken concrete to Dubai Municipality–approved recycling facilities where it is crushed into sub-base aggregate. Weighbridge tickets and the recycling certificate are returned to the client.
