CORE CUTTING IN DUBAI
Each core is preceded by GPR scanning so the drill avoids rebar and post-tensioning, slurry is collected on-site to protect the floor below, and an engineer signs off any opening that affects load paths. The scope ends with a clean, dressed core ready for the MEP team to install pipework, conduit, or structural anchors.
Regulatory framework: Non-structural cores (MEP penetrations) require only the landlord's NOC. Structural cores (in beams, columns, or large slab openings) require Dubai Municipality / DDA approval and consultant sign-off.
