The Challenge
Every commercial demolition scope carries its own mix of constraints, and Zero Gravity Dubai was no exception. Working inside an active urban corridor meant the team had to align with Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, DEWA, and RTA requirements while respecting programmed road closures, neighbour notifications, and strict noise and dust limits defined in the approved method statement. Structural stability of adjoining buildings, overhead services, and below-grade utilities all had to be surveyed and protected before any heavy breaker, shear, or high-reach excavator touched the structure. Traffic management, pedestrian diversions, working-hour restrictions, and Ramadan-period adjustments added further layers of coordination that the USF planning team absorbed into the baseline programme.
